I put this on my other blog, yesterday, but it truly belongs here. It does not matter what you look like. This blog and my channel aren’t about being a model. They are about being the best you that you can be with the tools you take with you. My tools, everyone’s are just something to think about. You don’t have to be like anyone else. You as you are is more than good enough. Please watch. My son, who is autistic, cried from joy with me as he watched.

Music Sweet Music
Save yourself from a stupid lawsuit. Yes, I mean you! If you love listening to a genre, or group of them, you can create your own legal radio station at Pandora Radio, http://pandora.com. I have fifteen stations up from music to Spa, or Yoga by, or dance my tail-feather off. There is kids music there and if you run into an artist that knocks you for a loop, there are links to buy the rights to own the song. That means, own it to play it. Not own it to use it. YouTube is really cracking down on copyright infringment. I’m on the fence about it. I notice the more of my books that show on Warez, or Pirate sites, the higher the sales of my books in paperback form, or other E-books. So. I am not sure if it’s really harming me and it sure as heck is not worth the stress of sending notice, after noctice about pulling my books.
The other part of this is that these people don’t realize how little I make per book, and recording t.artists make per CD/Song. After it’s all said and done, I make about a buck a print copy. Since I’m not selling into the millions…Suffice it to say that little check pays for a special treat, like a T. J. Maxx top, every now and then. Which is fine. I want people to escape with my stuff.
If that means a pirate site, at least it’s being read.
There is also something out there called a Creative Commons License. Note, I am no lawer, but this is my understanding. Artists put their work on a creative commons site. There are several ways they handle it. You can download and use without paying a fee as long as you attribute the music to the auther and a link back is either kind, or required. You can also pay a modest fee to own the song to run. Everyone has a donations box and if you love it, they are thrilled. This is artist controlled. They own it, they hand it out. Read the instructions carefully. I love much of creative commons stuff. There are genres out there I’d never heard of and am thrilled with. I like background music on some videos that use the step, by step method with either voiceover, or no voiceover, just music and explainations. I lovr Jumendo http://www.jamendo.com They spell things out in a clear manner and are really good to their artists. So, make it legal, keep it fun and remember, you’re never too old to play with your makeup.
